Now available: EPLAN Cogineer Free
The cloud activities of EPLAN, the engineering solutions provider, are united under EPLAN ePULSE. In addition to EPLAN Data Portal, applications including EPLAN eVIEW can be found there now. A further addition is EPLAN Cogineer Free – a free, easy-to-use software that allows users to take first steps towards automatically generating schematics and fluid power designs. EPLAN will continually be adding more applications, including EPLAN Smart Wiring, which will also be moving to the cloud in the future.
New tool for automated schematic creation
The cloud activities of EPLAN, the engineering solutions provider, are united under EPLAN ePULSE. In addition to EPLAN Data Portal, applications including EPLAN eVIEW can be found there now. A further addition is EPLAN Cogineer Free – a free, easy-to-use software that allows users to take first steps towards automatically generating schematics and fluid power designs. EPLAN will continually be adding more applications, including EPLAN Smart Wiring, which will also be moving to the cloud in the future. Monheim, Germany, 6 June 2019: EPLAN ePULSE was met with great interest at the Hannover Messe. Free registration for the accompanying community is also steadily rising around the world. Now EPLAN Cogineer Free is in the starting blocks – a free variant of the cloud-based project builder from the EPLAN Cogineer product family.
Generating electrical schematics and fluid power designs
After registering, users are able to generate electrical schematics and fluid power designs based on macro libraries saved in the ePULSE environment. EPLAN Cogineer Free’s practical advantages include immediately being productive without initial effort and experiencing the benefits of automated schematic creation. Working with the software is as easy as configuring a car: open the project, select the task and, at the press of a button, the software configures schematics based on EPLAN Electric P8.
Industry-independent use
The new free offering is geared towards all users of EPLAN Electric P8 (electric engineering) and EPLAN Fluid P8 (fluid power engineering) as well as designers in the field of building automation. Users can realise projects for both new designs as well as for maintenance issues with this software tool – its use is universal and independent of industry. The created schematics are copied into the EPLAN Project Management within the EPLAN Platform, which provides users with direct access to the schematics generated using EPLAN Cogineer Free. EPLAN Cogineer Free is available starting now. Long-term plans include making the libraries provided in Cogineer Free – which are currently only available in the free version – available for use in all the configuration levels of EPLAN Cogineer.

Even subfunctions such as a 24V power supply can be easily configured with EPLAN Cogineer Free.
